Okay, it happened. But that was only the first time...

How It Went:
A representative from World Vision came in and spoke about where exactly the money raised in the 30 Hour Famines goes.
We watched a quick video about how holding a 30 Hour Famine can make a difference.
Then, we discussed and went over the process of organizing a 30 Hour Famine in your school. It was a ton of fun, if i do say so myself, and the participants (hopefully) learned lots in a casual environment too.
It gave me motivation to have a bigger and better workshop next time. Within a month hopefully I'll have another one, with a lot more publicity!

well, i had my workshop, it went really well! ill be posting a detailed description in the workshop diary section soon.
ive encouraged some people to lead 30 hour famines, and im thinking about holding another workshop with even more people...

Wow its the first day of a new year and Im already on the TIG site. YAY, i
hope everyone had a great time!

yesterday we had a meeting at tig where we had tig workers, volunteers, and people that new nothing about tig at all. we discussed how tig applies to teens and how to link tig to more youth's lives. we also discussed stratedgys for getting tig exposure within schools, some ideas included: colour/black and white handouts, colour posters, magnets, stickers, pencils/pens, small flyers, etc... nothing was decided but a lot of ideas were brought up. hopefully this will lead to even more tig members in the near future!
